FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions are welcome.
You don't need to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out. Here are answers to some common questions about Wonder Brightly, who I work with, and what working together can look like.
For Families
Questions about working together, your child, and what support can look like.
-
A collaborative way to better understand your child and what may be underneath their behavior, communication, emotions, or everyday challenges. Together, we look at your child’s development, relationships, regulation, sensory needs, and individual way of experiencing the world, then identify practical approaches that fit your child and family.
-
No. Private services through Wonder Brightly are consultation, coaching, and educational services, not psychotherapy or mental health therapy. Brittany separately provides Developmental Therapy through the Illinois Early Intervention Program.
-
No. Some families come with an established diagnosis or developmental delay, while others simply have questions or concerns about their child. You don’t need a diagnosis, or even know exactly what’s going on, to reach out.
-
Then we won't start there. Truly. I meet families exactly where they are. We can talk about what you're actually seeing (connection, communication, play, regulation, routines) without labels leading the conversation. If and when diagnostic questions become important to you, I'll help you navigate them at your pace, with honesty and zero pressure. Your child is a child first, always.
-
Wonder Brightly primarily supports young children and their caregivers. The appropriate age range varies depending on the service, your child’s developmental level, and your family’s goals.

-
Anything from development, behavior, communication, regulation, sensory needs, play, and relationships to routines, school, engagement, or simply something that doesn’t feel quite right. You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined concern.

That’s completely okay. Tell me a little about what’s bringing you here, and we can determine together whether Wonder Brightly is a good fit and what type of support makes the most sense.
-
No. Wonder Brightly is not a crisis intervention practice and does not provide emergency or behavioral crisis services. While my background includes pediatric mental health and crisis settings, that experience informs how I understand complex behavior and support families proactively.
If your child or family is experiencing an immediate crisis, please contact an appropriate local emergency or crisis resource.

Questions for educators, care teams, and organizations

Yes. Brittany works with educators, childcare programs, schools, care teams, and organizations to better support children, families, and the professionals who work with them.

Support is tailored to each setting and may include classroom observation, child or case consultation, reflective consultation, professional development, team support, and Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation.
-
Reflective consultation gives professionals dedicated space to think more deeply about their work, relationships, and responses to challenging situations. The goal is to build understanding, confidence, and capacity rather than simply provide a quick solution.
-
Yes. Brittany provides customized professional development and training related to child development, behavior, relationships, regulation, play, and supporting children and families.
